Or convert an existing cabinet into a humi? I need something that can hold 1000-1200 cigars, and don't wanna pay the price of a Stabell or Avallo as i don't need anything fancy as it's down in my man-cave, and no one but me usually goes in there. Someone selling me a used one would work also.

I am planning one out of red oak and lined with cedar or luan (depends on budget). Mine will hold about that same amount with lots of room for aging naked (cigars not me). I will be happy to keep you posted and build you one after mine is done. This should work out well for you as most of my mistakes will be on the first one and the second should be better.

My initial thought is 16D x 36W x 54H with 5 adjustable shelves.

Your Own Walk In

Saw these while doing some Xmas shopping. Shiiping and handling included.

I would think unsed, this could be turned into a a very nice home walk in. Add some cedar to the inside (walls or shelves). The seals should be good as it used for a sauna.

Not sure if you could re-work the electrotics, but would make an interesting project.

Just something to ponder.

I'd be afraid of what the inside smells like, some use pretty aromatic woods, lining with cedar wouldn't be too bad. I suppose that by the time you put in the shelves, minus the area to "Walk into" you would have the same storage space as say a large cabinet but for less money, seems buying anything these days that is purpose built, like a humidor cabinet, is priced way high.

Like to see some pics of a conversion though!
