Monday - sideswiped on the freeway on the way home from work by a driver that didn't stop...!! Chased them down while calling 911; they turned into a parking lot as I and three LEO's followed them in. "I didn't know I hit him! I'm not no hit and run driver...." etc. Not cited by the cops despite my asking them to. Damage was a "tire strike" which buffed out about 98%. Whatever....

Wednesday night - One of our dogs is clearly sick. Like, going to die sick. Off to the vet for emergency surgery. Won't know until Thursday AM (night surgery).

Thursday morning - The dog made it through the surgery and is actually looking very good. Oh, the bill was only $987.00.....

Thursday evening - The wife takes a header off the deck, badly spraining her ankle....

Late thursday evening - The day is done, and I'm on the deck with a wonderful PLPC and a whisky. I'm thinking "....damn. I sure smell smoke. Wrong time of year to have a wood fire....." and son of a &%*&%$!! I see on the lower deck an ember had somehow rolled out of the BBQ and set the deck on fire! Was happily smoldering away and burned a 18" hole in the lower deck. Nice....

Sweet Jebuz....enough...!!!....
