So there I am sitting in a bar last weekend watching the "live" entertainment with a couple bros and I am thinking, WTF.

Each of the girls selected and played there own music while they danced and to quote Andrew Dice Clay. "I've heard cats $#@! with more rythym than that".
It seems with each passing year the music they play becomes less and less suited for what they are doing. The situation is a little better if there is a DJ, but even then....

I started browsing my music to see what I could come up with in the form of a mix cd that had good (at least my version of) music.

David Rose - The Stripper
Joe Cocker - You Can Leave Your Hat On
TonLoc - Wild Thing
Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
Kiss - Take it off
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
Alannah Myles - Black Velvet
Bob Seger - Old Time Rock 'n Roll
Foghat - Slow Ride
April Wine - Rock Myself To Sleep

Anybody else got any ideas or suggestions?

Bob Segar - The Fire Down Below :sign:

Van Halen - Hot For Teacher

ZZ Top - Tush

George Thoroughgood - Move it on Over

Those would be my picks.

edit to add:

Zepplin - Whole Lotta Love

Hell Ya!!!!

You brothers are definitely showing your ages here. :)

On the "Murphy's Law" chance that my wife happens across this thread, I of course don't make a habit of frequenting establishments such as these. :whistling:

But, I have a personal admirations of chicks who did their thing (and mine) to:

"Cowboy" - Kid Rock
"Closer to God" - NIN (mmmmmmmm, there is, hands down, absolutely no better)
"Thunderstruck" - Ac/Dc

and, believe it or not, once saw a chick do a hell of a number to:

"Flesh for Fantasy" - Billy Idol (and she earned my vote for goin' old school)

All of these are awesome!! I would have to add in some Creed, CCR, some older Metalica . .and I can't believe there's no Clapton listed yet!!

All of my ideas except one have been previously mentioned...

"Keep Your Hands to Yourself" - The Georgia Satellites

Just got to add one song...especially for the thread-starting-subject-matter.

La Grange - ZZTop

Those of you from Texas know what the song is about (most likely). Some of those not from Texas might not. Perfect for this thread IMHO. :p

Here is one from personal experience:

Lynyrd Skynyrd - "That Smell"

Time to find a new titty bar..

I go to this place in indiana.. great looking chicks..with lots of rythm and they will dance to just about anything with a beat..

I'm driving 120+ miles already to find one. Next closest would probably be 300+ miles. Price of fuel makes it harder to justify. Guess the best thing to do is wait till they get a feature dancer in for a weekend.

Or take my own music in and see if they will try it.
