My two brothers have a code that I would like to share with the good BOTLs here...

...we refer to this type of establishment as a "teddy bear". (Ya see how they sound just about the same?) Works great in mixed company while getting the message across quite well. :D

Erotic City - Prince
Latin Girls - The Black Eyed Peas
Hot For Teacher - Van Halen (oh the images in my head from my last trip to Vegas :0 )

So there I am sitting in a bar last weekend watching the "live" entertainment with a couple bros and I am thinking, WTF.

Each of the girls selected and played there own music while they danced and to quote Andrew Dice Clay. "I've heard cats $#@! with more rythym than that".
It seems with each passing year the music they play becomes less and less suited for what they are doing. The situation is a little better if there is a DJ, but even then....

I started browsing my music to see what I could come up with in the form of a mix cd that had good (at least my version of) music.

David Rose - The Stripper
Joe Cocker - You Can Leave Your Hat On
TonLoc - Wild Thing
Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
Kiss - Take it off
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama
Alannah Myles - Black Velvet
Bob Seger - Old Time Rock 'n Roll
Foghat - Slow Ride
April Wine - Rock Myself To Sleep

Anybody else got any ideas or suggestions?

I have a suggestion. Look at the fron of your drivers license and find your age. Divde that by 1/2 and subtract 1.5 from it. That is the average age of the girls dancing. So figuring that just about every song you picked is older than the girls, it is no wonder why you feel outta place. I personally don't care what song they are dancing outta rythym to up on the stage. When you get em in the back room they learn a little lap rythym.

Emo, are things that rough these days that you have to look at the front of your driver's license to get your age? :sign: :D

Nope, I'm still young enough not to remember hearing all but 2 of those songs on the radio. LOL

Noticed you're now right around the corner from me too. Might have to get a SoBe HERF in order sometime. ;)

Well since you jacked it, are there any cigar friendly lounges in the area?

That's becoming a taller and taller order these days, especially in all of Florida. But, Tropical Cigars on Lincoln Road (right by the Starbucks and Spris Pizza) is excellent. Great live music usually, two humidors, good selection there too. Excellent atmosphere, and, with Lincoln Rd, right there, also a billion exquisite places to dine. But, right at Tropical you can get a good fill. I guess it's dubbed a "sports bar" for all intent and purposes (plenty of plasmas), but nightly you can find excellent Cuban and Colombian son, salsa, merengue and such being played live. Plenty of seating indoors and out.
