Never had a Pepin/Padilla 1932 (or one of the new ones), its a shame I know, but I have had the 1948s before and really liked them.

Has anyone had a chance to try the new Padilla blend that can compare them to the old?

I'd like to know how they are, before I order some.

I had two Padilla Habanos over the w/e. They were ok. Nothing special. It's a stout cigar without much complexity. Wouldn't buy them again, but wouldn't turn one down if offered.

Well Shawn, I pounded the pavement and found a "48. Just smoked it. It was much better than the Habano. Not as strong, but more complex. I smoked a box of the original '48's but my memory ain't so good. So it's difficult to compare. I would buy more of these, however, and would recommend them.

I like the 1948 as well, and I like them at about 69% RH.

The New 32 is rich, and has flavors I like. Mine took a while to come around, as I think they were a bit too moist upon receipt. The original Miami rolled version was superior for my tastes; indeed one of my all time favorites.

The new Miami is a good cigar and is worth a try. Again, I liked the original more, right up there with the 1932 as one of my all time favorites.

I never smoked any of the old ones, but I've had the new Miami, Habano, and '68 and every one of them couldn't keep a burn. They had about 5 weeks in my humidor, I guess they needed a lot more.
