I don't know what ya'll have against him (and probably don't want to know - if this is fallout from the NP Forum) but he's done right by me. I don't recall him being aggressive or offensive (before the one thread I saw about the Cigar Snob site) and don't condemn anyone over any one instance. I've traded with the guy and he hooked me up with many-a-stick I can't find over here. What was supposed to be 4 Opus and an Anaconda arrived as a double box with over 10 sticks including extra Opus, a 1964 etc.

I voted Nice Guy. We've always shown mutual respect ane I've not seen a reason to change that.

Nice. I respect you for standing up and saying your piece in this flury of naysayers.

My issues are not about his character or how he trades. It is based on what he said.

It started when I called him on his abrasive attacks of other members here. Regardless of my agreement or disagreement of their political views, he was taking it a bit far. I simply rebuked him and he didn't like it. Now, I made two erroneous assumptions:

I wrongly assumed he was a conservative and pointed out the fact he wasn't acting as one. He corrected me. He stated he was not a conservative. My bad.

I wrongly assumed him an equal. He corrected me. He made it perfectly he was not my equal. My bad.

And I voted that he was drinking too much of his own brew. I read this to be a little high on his own ego.......But, then again......maybe a wrong assumption.

And...................well, I'll just let it go at that.

Treamyne - If you didn't read the News&Politics thread I can understand why you wouldn't know what we are talking about. From what I've seen his posts and actions (up until the last day or two) in the rest of the board have been nothing but nice. That being said, if you go back and read the archives of the N+P forum (which frankly I wouldn't bother doing) you'll see why many of us have a problem with him.

I didn't even pay any attention to this guy until he started this stuff in the Political forum.......

I remember the last time some airbag came in here, throwing his opinions around like he was all that, gifting people nice cigars and trying to buy his friends, making subtle threats under his breath like the "you don't know me" bs this guy spews......talk to the hand buddy, the head ain't listening!

I think we can all refer to the "Henry" incident if your memory needs refreshing. Most of you guys weren't here for that one but I can see it coming a mile away......

I've been here for a long time and I've seen it happen time and time again....but that's just my opinion.

The threads are still there......do a search for him.

My point though, this stuff has been happening for years......and we (those of us who have been on here for years) will deal with it.

I know this offends some.....but that's why CP remains a great board.......member loyalty!!!

So, if it bothers you, don't read it! Capeesh? :D

Exactly - I didn't read the N&P for that reason (except a few joke threads - I always like joke threads). I also tend to think that a person should be viewed more through the lens of action rather than discussion (esp when the discussion is one that runs towrd high emotions: politics, religeon, sports favorites....)

He's always acted honorable and friendly toward me and seems honorable in his transactions with others in trades and such, so that's how I'll think of him until I see dishonest action. I've had conversational disagreements with others here (like CC - sorry man) but I think no less of such great BOTLs and hope they don't think less of me.

Treamayne - I fully support your opinion. If you want to tolerate BM's questionable behavior then by all means do so.

I'm quite sure you will support my decision not to.
