I am a new guy, well hell, you already knew this. With Labor day behind us I have just completed my first summer season with Cigar Pass, and what a wild ride it has been. I have seen some of the greatest examples of kindness and generosity directed toward me, and may other Brothers and Sisters here on CP. I have watched listened (read) and learned what happens when you come in and try to re-invent the wheel. And, I have seen the determination that the Elder Statesmen of this community defend their home against attacks of all sorts.

I have made my own mistakes and said the wrong thing a time or 12. I am sure that I have pissed a few people off but, I have done my best to be part of this family, to grow and learn the subtle ways that make this BB what it is. I have tried to help as many newer members as I can so that they will have the opportunity to enjoy CP as much as I do.

There is no way that I could ever repay the membership for what they have given me, I have tried with my limited resources, but it in no way comes close. I wish I could thank all of you that have helped to make this on of the best experiences I have had, but it would simply be too long of a list. The last 3 months of this deployment have been lost to me, if you were to ask me what I have done, other than tell you about some of the cigars I have smoked, I would not have an answer for you. You have no idea what a blessing that is, I guess time does fly when you are having fun...well you know what I mean.

In closing I have only 2 questions to ask; is every summer like this?What does the 2nd half of the year have to offer?

Thank you for sharing the start of you story with us, Tim. It has been a genuine pleasure to have you here as member of CigarPass. I'm glad that cigars and the company here have provided some balm during your time in the Sandbox.

As for Summers, I'd say this one was fairly typical at least as far as the ones I've seen. My perception is that when Fall comes, the content and discussion get even a bit more cigar-focused. With the cooler weather, passes pick back up and games and contests carry on. I'd say that in general, the board seems to get a little more serious. Probably goes along with the end of Summer.
