Sometimes it pays to fight back

That is too freakin' funny!! And, something you just don't hear every day for sure. Sending the telephone company a bill and them paying it. Priceless!

It is sad, but over the years of my life, I have learned to do very much the same thing.

It seems there is a never ending pool of poor customer service. Being that I work in that field, I also keep track of my customer service problems. Whether it is a broken piece of technology or warranty issue, I always write down who I talk to and when. If a problem persists (which in today’s world it often does) I find out who is the main person in charge and write them off a very polite letter.

I never demand anything for free, nor do I expect it. I am however very firm in my disappointment.

I cannot tell you how many gift cards and free months of service this has gotten me. Again, I do not do this for the freebie factor, only as a matter of customer relations with the idea that this kind of service should be brought to attention. That said, I have also written countless letters of praise to people who have gone above and beyond.

I only know as a person who cares about my customers that I would hope they experience the same level of service I expect in return.

The sad part about it all is that this trend of poor service is so much the norm for people that they just put up with it.

Thanks for sharing Ray

That's great, in this world of customer service from India, it's good to know that the little guy wins occasionally.
