Speaking of vulgarity

If you just say that Cigar Pass is Bar-none, By-Far the very best cigar site with the greatest leadership on the net, you will get no argument from me. I love it here, I don't even go to any other site, unless directed there by a link in a thread here. I am a member of at least 6 different Gar Boards, but CP is Home, all the guys here are my family.

Sometimes a bit disfunctional, but Family is Family :D
 
Amen Purobrat and dvickery. I don't know how many times I asked for some help on a variety of issues and a lot of people responded. There is a heck of a lot of knowledge about cigars here and what I do know has come from these boards. But it isn't just the cigar stuff that I enjoy-the lobby discussions and humorous links are what gives cigarpass it's unique standing in my opinion. The Madcow link? The "milkshake" thing? The "I feel good" Nutri-Grain commercial? I still get tears in my eyes when I think of all of these, you guys are nuts! :D

I must also say that this board is by far superior in every way to just about any other that I have seen. When I started getting involved in cigars on the net, I signed up with several forums, but find myself continually spending time here.

It is set up better than all of the others, and the people here are all intelligent adults.
I have not found a bad apple in the entire group, even those that dont have the same views as me, they all act in a very civilized manner.

So, in conclusion...... :sign: :sign: :sign: :D :p :thumbs: :thumbs: :)

PB - I simply don't like seeing one member flame another member for no reason, and use profanity while doing so.

Moderation is only used here when we feel a thread is going to/already has turned into a flame war. Call it liberal, nazi-like, whatever, it's our rules and we're sticking to 'em. :)

You'll also notice there are not many moderators here. I prefer to keep very few moderators simply for fact that we're all adults. Do we really need people watching over us all the time and telling us what we can and can't do? Like Emo said, this forum is more self-moderated than anything else.

No complaint from me, sorry about the "thin skin" crack, it was just that I didn't realy see a flame or an attack, with the exception of the "Little Girl" term, but since Dawn didn't appear to mind it, who am I to complain ???

Either way, I will be behind any decision you make for the bettermant of CP

Perhaps to put this issue to rest once and for all (otherwise, sometime down the line from now, someone else is going to mention again the "great 2004 'little girl' scandal of CP) -

I've apologized both publicly and by way of PM to Dawn who, even in her PM response to me made no mention of the "little girl" term, but only that she thought I was criticizing her right to state her opinion (which couldn't have been more opposite). Apologies accepted, statements understood and we've all agreed to put this issue to rest. So let's let it die.


By the way...

I was reminded in another PM, by someone else, of a conversation Dawn and I had a while back in the chat room. After I had answered several questions she was asking of and about me she asked,

"You wanna trophy wife??!"

I responded,

"Why, is your younger sister available?"

Nyuck, nyuck, nyuck. Thank you, I'll be here until Friday. Don't forget to tip your waitresses.

She laughed and took it with the jest it was intended. As was the "little girl" statement which I knew, SHE should not have an issue with. Not as some egregious, "unacceptable" statement or something undermining the sanctity of womanhood. She took it with great humor and it only serves to illustrate what a great person Dawn actually is - politics aside. :) :) :) :) It was this aspect of Dawn that I was very familiar with.

Thus, now...let's move on. Unless, of course PB, you want to disclose in advance how many more times you intend to incorporate the phrase - "the 'little girl' term" - into your posts. :sign: :sign: :sign: :D
