Is this an actual movie car, or a replica/tribute someone created? I still haven't seen the Matthew Fox movie from, what... 15 years ago? Back in the mid-90s when MTV was showing all the old Speed Racer cartoons, I would watch them every morning before school (this was, maybe 9th or 10th grade, I think). I remember a buddy and I actually having a conversation about who we would cast if there was ever a live-action film made. Tom Cruise was the winner to be Speed. I still stand by that one...

I enjoyed the 2008 Speed movie and I think it captured the Speed Racer essence pretty good! Speaking of it, I haven't watched it for a while and should.

I have memories of watching that cartoon as a three and four year old along with shows like Ultra Man and H.R. Puffin Stuff. Pretty sure those guys were definitely puffing on something and dropping acid.

Yeah... when I was 5/6 me and my friend would commandeer my parents recliner lawn chairs outside and pretend they were our race cars. We had all the cool buttons for underwater travel.. jumping and saw blades. Imagination was the limit. Even though the old cartoon was not continuous motion... it was one of my favorites.
