I went to see Star Wars in the theater when I was 7 and have been hooked ever since. If you enjoy the series I think you will like this. The traveling road show offers a full orchestra and choir performing John Williams' memorable scores in front of a giant LED screen full of movie montages playing a freshly cut mix of all six Star Wars episodes.

Anthony Daniels the British actor whose voice is C-3P0, is a narrator of sorts and walks you through the different acts of the performance. Mr. Daniels is the only actor to have been involved in all six movies as well as most of the spin off projects. Touring U.S. sports arenas like a rock star is, "out of all reason, the best thing I've ever done with 'Star Wars,' " Daniels says, maybe the best twist yet on the strange road that started with an audition he had to be talked into back in 1976.

I have always found the music in these movies to be compelling and the full orchestra brings them to life wonderfully. Powerful scores written for the original trilogy had the hair on my arms standing up at the beginning. While I assumed this would be an older crowd with the orchestra, there was a mix of age groups. Much like souldoggys college girlfriend days, I saw folks 8 to 80, blind, crippled, and crazy, all were in attendance. Lots of kids in costume and a few whack job adults as well. There is also quite a bit of very real looking props and backgrounds throughout the arena. A full sized Darth Vader under glass, and Ewoks were among the picture taking opportunities. Many movie characters in costume were milling around for other picture chances for the kids or the die-hards.

Two thumbs up from me. I enjoyed the crap out of the show, and if you have young'ins who enjoy the movies or are yourself a fan, buy tickets and go see them when they come to your area.

I actually got to see the real traveling Star Wars Museum in Scotland in 2002. It was pretty cool to see the stuff they used in the movie. I even have a picture of me next to Yoda. I wished I had a Digital Camera then as I could have really got some cool pictures of it. They even had the Pod racer used in the movie. Everything there was used in the movie.

We went back in December. We loved it. The museum stuff was awesome. My boys are both into it. They were enthralled with the performance. Highly recommended!

I too remember going to the theater to see the first film with my dad; that opening scene with the star destroyer that goes on forever has to be one of the coolest opening's ever in a movie, I was hooked after that. Besides C-3PO and R2D2 I always thought the storm troopers were the coolest characters, they never said much but I still like them.

I am kinda pissed I didn't go to the concert when it was here a couple weeks ago. I heard it was great but nobody wanted to go with me.
