I guess I'm a part-time stay at home dad. My job requires frequent travel, but when I'm not on the road I work from home.

I did it for about 8'ish years. It's not entirely rare in a military community, but I honestly don't know too many others, personally. Looking back, those were some of the most fulfilling years of my life. You don't get those days back with your kids, and having the opportunity to spend the time with my daughters as they grew doesn't have a price tag. Keep at it as long as you can!
