Wow, sad indeed. He certainly shaped Apple into what it is today. He built quite a legacy... RIP

I got my first ipod a couple of years ago and love it. I got my first iphone last month and I'm amazed at its capabilities. RIP Mr. Jobs.

A true legend has passed from our presence...all I can say is thank you, Mr. Jobs, for changing the world for the better!

I am a confessed Apple FanBoy, and when Steve stepped back down again a few months back, I knew that this day was close.

Love or hate Apple, the innovation and forward thinking that Jobs brought out of people, to the world, and into the market place will be hard to replace.
I don't think that people really understand how much he will be missed. The challenge for Apple is to continue to try and live up to his vision.

Tim

I'm not a huge Apple fan, but I do think that Mr. Jobs did an amazing thing in his industry.

RIP Steve, I can only imagine what you have in store for the future (even though you won't be around to see it).

Only 53 years old. Much too early. The guy changed the face of technology just as much, if not more so, than Bill Gates. He only stepped down in August. He must have kept at his company right until he knew the end was imminent. I knew he had cancer, but honestly this caught me by surprise. It really hits home at the moment, for other reasons, but this certainly wasn't the news I was expecting to see any time soon.

Steve Jobs can rest easy now with the knowledge that he was one of the few people in life who have truly changed the world. That's quite a legacy.

Not many can leave this world knowing they changed it, the way he did. His products and innovations and design vision have all become part of everyone's life. May your ancestors welcome you warmly into their shining company, Mr. Jobs . . . you've done them proud.

A true genius when it came to innovation and marketing. Thanks to blindedbyscience for posting the article from wsj, I never knew he started Pixar too. Just another rung on such an impressive ladder. Being that I own apple stock i hope that it doesn,t drop another 15 points today... anyway RIP
