My wife's grandmother gave me an old cigarbox that somebody had converted into a jewelry box and gave to her. It has 3 lids two for storage on each side, and 1 in the middle with a mirror in the lid.

The top of the middle lid has a drawing of a profile of a woman playing what looks like a Mandolin or some old stringed instrument. She reminds me of those cameos you see around some women's necks. Her hair is pulled into a bun. I know it's got to be a logo b/c in tiny tiny print you can see a trademark logo.

Any ideas what company could have made this, or what brand of cigar used to live here. It's not much, but it's a neat gift and not ugly by any means, Nice to put on the coffee table. But what is it?!

I know of at least one book out, "The Art of the Cigar Label" that might help. Also, there was an article in the inaugral issue of "Cigar Magazine" that might help or have some leads for you. Don't know any collectors personally, but I've heard Lew Rothman is a huge collector. Does he frequent any boards these days? I know he used to post on his BBS when it was active.

Just my 0.02...hope it helps.
