Alright heres the situation, my friend likes real strong cigars, we have asked store employees what the strongest smoke they carry is, he tried a few of em, but they were NEVER strong enough for him. Could you guys reccomend a few cigars that would knock him off his feet? Thanks
 
Hello and welcome!! I find that the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño 1970 will really give you a great nicotine buzz if thats what you are looking for. Also the La Flor Dominica Double Ligero line will really knock your socks off. Lastly if you can find Opus where you are at the Opus XxX aka the Power Ranger will be sure to give him what he is looking for! Take care.
 
Well, what's he already tried?

La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero Chisel is a nice strong, full bodied smoke

There are a few reviews in the "What ya been smokin'" section that you can search for.

xXx is always a good one too.

A frame of reference from what he has tried will help us give input.

The strongest one he has tried was a La Flor Dominicana Double Ligero, he said it wasn't strong enough for him either.
 
It seems that a lot of what goes into giving you a buzz from a cigar is circumstancial. How much you've eaten, drinking a beverage with a lot of sugar in it while smoking, etc...

Has he been smoking these on say...an empty stomach? Seems that if your goal is to get knocked on your butt, that's a good way to go about it.

Camachos are typically pretty strong.
 
Since I have experienced same thing since Oct 2005 where I dont get a buzz. I've tried many things. Empty stomach and all. I've smoked 2 LFD DL Chisels back to back and didnt phase me. But that happens when you smoke 5 to 10 strong cigars a day. Best advice would tell your friend no cigars for a week or two. Let the nicotine adjustment fall down and then smoke a LFD DL Chisel Maduro not the weak natural one. He should get a buzz then. If he is in it just for a nicotine buzz, there is a pipe tobacco with 7% Nicotine in it called Amazon. This will surely give him a buzz and then some. :D

Now that I am just smoking 1 cigar every couple of days, I'm getting a buzz once again and surprised by the sticks that are doing it.
 
Am I reading this correctly? He smokes cigars to get a buzz? Personally, I find that very strange.

If a buzz is his intent, point him toward some good tequila. :thumbs:

With reference to the nicotine content in the XxX. I don't find these smokes strong, tasty but not strong, certainly don't get a buzz out of them.

I find this a little odd myself. If a buzz is his intent, then maybe he should try smoking "something else" instead of cigars. :whistling:

These are the ones I have and they are somewhat strong,I am used to them already.
 
I like to supplement a cigar with some whiskey or scotch. That usually does it for me.

I think that smoking for the buzz of it can be hard to do if the person is a heavy smoker. I have a couple of heavy cigarette smoker friends who can put two nicotene patchs on his temples, cigarettes up his nose and smoke a stogie and be fine.

I heard huffing paint can really get the job done. I recommend metallic silver.
 
I am amazed that no one has mentioned El Rico Habano by Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. By far one of the strongest cigars made. The Naturals even have more kick than the Maduros.
 
??? Well I am very confused with this as well?
My advice to him is move to wacky tabacy if he wants a buzz. It will be cheaper than buying XxX and you would certainly get a buzz. LOL :laugh:
 
No he's not smoking to get a buzz, he just wants a real strong flavor and such.
