I had the pleasure of meeting him when I worked at a local AM radio station here in the Twin Cities. He stopped by the studio to be interviewed on the air with Tommy Mischke. He was so friendly. An amazingly genuine guy. It's funny, he seemed so glad to meet me even though I was a nobody intern. Just a neat guy to talk to. I'll never forget it. That was probably 8 or 9 years ago.
One of the things that impressed me most and that I took away was that everyone has a story.
Must go re-read some of his books...
