Hello,

Let me first say, "Hello" (1st post). This looks like a pretty cool forum and the cigar pass sounds like a great idea.

About a year ago I finished building my first humidor. I have been using one of those inexpensive, slim hygrometers from thompson cigar. Well, it broke. I'm a little pissed off, but you get what you pay for.

Any suggestions for hygrometer? I would like something small since my humidor is a little small size holds probably 30 cigars.

Are analog(dial) ones bad?

I saw several suggestions of radio shack ones, but from the pictures they may be a little large.

Thanks again.

First off Welcome to the board. When you get a chance head on over here and introduce yourself offically.

Secondly I would advise buying one of these (the second one). This is the same I use and it is very accurate. Make sure you salt test any hygro you buy. Also look into Viper's beads... you won't be disappointed!

I use the small madeline one that they sell on cigar pass.. works great and takes up little space.
