called the hospital about 3 am my time 11pm over in the states she was just getting finished with the surgery. I talked to the nurse in the ICU and she said it seems to be working so that is good news. It sucks haveing to wait on planes when something like this is happening. Thanks to everyone for the nice thoughts and prayers.

Damned good news, Dale. Kidney transplants aren't without risk, but the surgeons have a LOT of experience with it. She is going to be fine.
 
Glad the surgery is over. Hope all goes smoothly in you getting there as soon as possible to be with your daughter during what I'm sure will be a smooth and complete recovery.
 
Dale just got done talking with her... so far the kidney is working fine and she was able to pee for the first time in 4 years... thats how long Miranda has been waiting on a Kidney (rare blood type).

She isn't out of the woods yet, but damn I'm happy for her.

Keep the prayers and good thoughts coming!!
 
That is great to hear. Good thoughts and prayers for both your daughter and the unfortunate but giving soul that has given her a chance.
