Just wanting to let everyone know me and my family are alive and well. We evacuated to Vicksburg during the storm. Have not been able to return home yet, still no electricity or water. I am temporarily staying with my grandmother making sure the generator stays running, between her and my 8 month old son we have to keep some type of fans running during the day and a small window a/c unit at night. They can't handle the heat. I lost a bunch of birds but the dogs all survived, looks like a war zone around here now with all the trees gone and national guard everywhere. Everyone is packing guns - YOU LOOT WE SHOOT. On the bright side I've had plenty of time to smoke ;)and have enough MRE's to last a month. I'll let you guys know when I make it back home and have power.

Glad to hear you are safe.
It is also nice to hear your dogs made it.

Stay safe.

Glad to hear that you and the family are ok. Check back in when you can.

Glad to hear it, 3D. How are the dogs?

My daughter, who is kind of a free spirit, lived in a bad neighborhood and sings jazz down there got out with her dog, her life, and nothing else. She fled to Austin with friends last Friday when things got dicey soon after the storm.

Nice to see you're alive and well! LMK if you ever decide to make the short trip to Jackson since you're in V-burg

3D great to hear that you and the family are doing well. Keep us posted on what's going with your situation.

;)

It is good to hear that you and your family are ok.

God bless ya 3D. I'm happy you and your family made it out, and the dogs too! Good luck and I hope your life gets back to a sense of normal as soon as possible.

Good to hear from you

I'm glad you and the family are safe. I hope you're able to get back to a "normal life" soon.

I only stayed in Vicksburg 2 nights when the storm first hit. Ameristar casino. We snuck back using backroads to come home that Wednesday. I had to feed my animals and everyone was worried about their homes.13 of us gathered at my grandmothers with generators and box fans. My lights came on last night and we moved back home today. The phone lines just got fixed a few hours ago. We have elictrical trucks from all over the country out here doing a great job. Cops from all over also, hell the canadian cops were here a week before fema. I just wanted to let everyone know we are safe and sound and finally back at home.

Glad to hear you are back home and safe. Best of luck with the cleanup and getting things fixed up.

Beware the JBT's are at work.

From the NY Times:

NEW ORLEANS, Sept. 8 - Waters were receding across this flood-beaten city today as police officers began confiscating weapons, including legally registered firearms, from civilians in preparation for a mass forced evacuation of the residents still living here.

No civilians in New Orleans will be allowed to carry pistols, shotguns or other firearms, said P. Edwin Compass III, the superintendent of police. "Only law enforcement are allowed to have weapons," he said.

Im still waiting for a reply to my e-mail to the NRA.

Im not renewing my membership until I get a satisfactory reply/position/response from them on this.

There are a lot of gun guys getting very heated about them disarming the law abiding citizens who armed themslves for protection when the PD turned tail and left the city to the goblins and the citizens to fend for themselves.

Glad your alright.

Russell
