Since I'm a noob not only here, but to cigars in general, Fetterjohn was nice enough to gift me with a few new sticks. I recognize two of the sticks he sent, but the others I've never seen before. These the ones that are not as easily identified accordingly:

1. The Hippie Stick- This stick is most easily identified by the red and white peace sign on the band. There are no other markings and I have no idea who made this. It seems to be a Rubusto of some sort, with a very dark brown wrapper. The peace symbol kind of throws me off, but I'll light her up in any case.

2. The Unknown Solider- This stick is Churchill in size with a darker brown to slightly reddish wrapper, unbanded. If I sniff the foot I get the sense of cocoa. This is the largest cigar in my humidor at the moment, so I'm unsure as to when I'll smoke it... Maybe when it can be identified. :sign:

3. The Midget- This stick is... small. It's a little less than 3 inches in length and has a ring size of possibly 2? The wrapper is a pale colored brown and has a slightly wrinkled texture to it. After smelling the foot, I'm not sure if the cocoa scent didn't originate from this one. I don't want to put it in the humi to smell up my other sticks, so I may go smoke this now. Or I may not.... it scares me.

The rest of the sticks are great, and I'll hold my tongue as to what they are until Fetterjohn tells me it's okay to let the cat out of the bag. For now, I think I'm going to go try out the midget. Once again, thank you very much Fetterjohn, your generosity shall be returned once I know what I should shop for.

Unbanded might be either a bundle cigar or something from out in the ocean if you get my drift. Did you PM Fetter yet?

Alright, I'll look forward to the hippie stick then. I'll have to wait to try any of'em though as I just smoked the midget and it hurt. If there was cocoa anywhere in that, I couldn't taste it. My first draw off of it made me cough, which made me suck in more smoke, which made me cough more. It was a vicious cycle. After I regained my senses, I tried again, but found I couldn't hold any smoke in my mouth for more than a second otherwise it began to sting. I also really couldn't pick out any discernable tastes, but I knew I didn't like it. I ended the ordeal half-way through and I'm trying to figure out what I want to follow up with. Here's a pic of what it looked like.

My PM back to Merlin told him it was a Dannemann Moods (in the purple box). These are great small cigars, IMHO. But you do need to smoke them slowly!!! And (Like Clinton) don't inhale!

Oneoff robusto is correct for the hippy smoke (there ain't nothin wrong with hippy's). Great smoke with lot's of cocoa background...

The other is a great bundle cigar but don't know from where (the true mystery smoke). Enjoy.

I knew there was cocoa in there somewhere! And yeah, I probably should've slowed down on the Dannemann. I don't know how, because I don't ever inhale (just a little through the nose every once in a while), but some smoke crept down into my lungs and that started it all. I'm looking forward to the rest of'em, thanks again!

I raise my glass and a cheers to fetter for helping a brother out with the new sticks to sample.

What great friends we find in the leaf...
