IMO on this date, February 22, 1984, the occurrence that set the tone for the entire Reagan Presidency, the US National hockey team defeated the Soviets at Lake Placid, N.Y., 4-to-3 in a stunning upset. The US went on to win the Gold Medal
 
I actually watched that game on the tube. Amateurs beating down on the professionals.

I was 10 years old and remember that well. I still get chills watching the last minute and hearing Al Michaels now legendary call, "Do you believe in miracles??!!"
 
Greatest upset of all time.

I don't know how accurate it was, but I enjoyed the movie "Miracle."
 
One of the best sports moments in American History IMHO. Love seeing the replays of the final minutes. lol
