Multiply the number of women in the house by 2.5 and add the occasional dishwasher (which will be you if they run out of water pressure)
 
If it makes any difference, I have a Takagi unit 7 years and no problems so far.
 
FWIW, I bought the Tagagi two years ago, based upon a unit that met my specific needs, and because Tagagi has been making these for longer then the other guys.
