I got a Pepin sampler from Al and Puff n Stuff, and have enjoyed all of them so far. The first one I smoked was the White Label P4. I really liked the taste and the price but the draw was a little tight, a problem some of you have also experienced from reading the threads.

Question: For $3-4 a stick, do you think it is a good enough smoke, (or small enough problem), that I could make this an everyday smoke and a smoke for the less sophisticated friends that still want a decent cigar?

Are there any other's in that price range that I'm missing?

Thanks guys, I always get good info from you.

The P series has become my everyday smoke. I've never had draw problems with them but you absolutely must give them time to acclimate to 60 to 65%. Most B$M's store their cigars at much higher Rh to give the impression of fresh cigars because that's what his uninformed customers think they want.

Doc.

I would be thrilled if my friends gave me a P series when I stopped over. I think it is a great smoke for the money. I have had draw issues, but the flavor is still there. Very nice stick IMHO.

I'm starting to prefer mine a little wet, more towards 70%. The flavors seem to be more pronounced at a higher humidity. Yes, these are a good cigar to start friends on. There are many more in the similar price range, although size might vary, such as Punch Champions, AF Flor Fina 858 (I find the draw a little tight and flavors lacking here, maduros included), and La Aroma de Cuba.
