I ran across these at a local shop and picked up a pair, not knowing anything about them (and getting them confused with the DPG White-label line in my head.)

Lit one up when I got home and was a little under whelmed. Burn and construction was very good, but it just didn't have the flavor volume that the Havana VIs or brown-labels (Cabinet?) have.

Towards the end I got a large chunk of stem in my mouth, which I thought was odd until I looked them up here and discovered they were mixed-filler. That made sense, but they supposedly use the same blend as the H6 line? I'm still having trouble believing that as the one I smoked (robusto) was even more mild that the DPG Blue-label Corona Gorda that I smoked last week.

After a search I found nearly no posts on this line, which I found surprising given the "Hype" surrounding the Tatuaje brand...

So, who's lit one of these up, and what did you think?

I have bought two boxes from Famous & enjoy them. I find that they closely resemble their full long filler brother, the Tatuaje VI & have a nice leather / graham cracker finish & have a nice sweet aroma. The cuban sandwich filler has never been an issue as they don't flake and the ash holds long enough to not have it drop in your lap constantly like a lot of other short / mixed filler cigars do. I do think they are priced righ at about $3 per cigar, as I think as soon as they get around $4 there are better cigars to be had. About 1 out of 5 or 6 are plugged and need worked on. Sometimes they can be saved, but the wrapper is fragile enough that a draw poker can sometimes destroy them. I am saving the box of Toro's to age and am smoking the box of Corona Gorda's now.

All in all - I dig 'em and think they are worth the price & have a wonderful Pepin "twang" to them.

It might be ring gauge. I had some of the P1's (corona gorda-sized) that were delicious and got even better with age. The 50 ring might've made them too mild, so if you wanna give 'em a second shot, try the P1.

Tatuaje P series are a cuban sandwich 60/40 mixed filler still, a great cigar with great tobacco and a very good price.

I've got some P4's that all have the worst draw I've ever experienced, worthless as far as I'm concerned.
