tax dollars at work

They do provide funding for our state Univerity systems (don't they?) so I guess they figure they can excersise some level of control. If they funded they want the control money brings. Stupid waste of time.

I'm in......sick of tax dollars being wasted on crap like flyin' my criminal Governor back and forth to his home.

At least this way it's something of my interest.

Anyone notice the lawmaker proposing this legislation is from Texas. I am sure he's trying to make points with his constituents as The University of Texas was slighted by being passed over for not only the Big 12 Championship game, but the BCS Championship game as well.

Plays well to the local crowd, but will not, hopefully, get out of committee, as I think our lawmakers have more pressing matters to consider!

I agree that I would think our government is busy enough with out worrying about college football; however, I don't think this is the first time someone who felt slighted by the BCS filed some legal action. I think BYU headed an organization of the smaller schools in a law-suit against the BCS. Thus, producing the +1 system we have now that allows for smaller schools to have a shot at the big boys. Which has produced pitiful games like the Hawaii-UGa of last year but also all time greats like Boise State-OU.
