Taxidermists- Any of You Here?

I was just wondering if there is anyone here that either as a hobby or as a job take part in the art of Taxidermy. I work in Law Enforcement, and of course the pay is not the highest. So I have been looking for something part time to do that would bring in a little extra cash flow. I am going to start a Local Taxidermy school here in the next couple weeks. So I just thought I would see if there was anyone here who did it as well.

I am not a taxidermist, but being from AK and my family involved in hunting/fishing, I always thought this was an interesting field. If you enjoy being creative and working with your hands I would think this would pretty cool to get in to. It seemed that the shop we did business with in AK did very well for themselves. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
 
I do enjoy working with my hands, and being creative in my work. I have wanted to take part in this field for quite some time, but have not had access to someone with knowledge of it until now. I am also VERY detail oriented, which of course will pay off in this field. I already have my eye on quite a few mounts that have given me ideas. After I start I will post some pictures of my work on here. I will just be doing this part time, but am not overlooking the possibility of making this a full time job in the future. Though I will take my time to build my skills to a level before I do that. I always look at something like this, if I am going to do it I might as well do my best to be the best at it there is. Not to say I am, but striving and working hard at something always pays off in the end.

Not a taxidermist but, I do hunt and fish. I have a few mounts, ducks and pheasant, looking to have a coyote done.
Just want to wish you the best in your new endeavor.
