I don't know if there are many opera fans here but I'm sure Pavarotti touched everyone in some way due to his crossover into pop with singers like Bono and Sting. He passed away and his music will be missed. He is, IMHO, the greatest tenor that ever lived. Rest in peace Luciano and thanks for all the music!

You don't have to be an opera fan to appreciate what Pavarotti brought to us. Very sad to see someone with this gift and talent pass.

Yep, Miss Sarajevo is a great song.

I was brought up with a deep respect for Opera, and still attend maybe once or twice a year.
Luciano Pavarotti will be dearly missed. I regret terribly that I never was able to see him perform.

I had the chance to hear him here in Chicago, what a beaytiful voice. RIP!

Vocal cords kissed by god. And I agree with the above poster. You don't need to be a fan of opera to appreciate his talent.

I was able to see him perform as a lad. My mother was brought up with the arts and she passed them on to me. Amazing voice. Without even knowing the words you could feel your eyes well up with tears at the sheer emotion in the air. When you feel music, its powerful and spiritual.
