Tequila Question

As was mentioned previously, higher-end tequilas are definitely meant for sipping, sniffing, savoring. I have really come to love sipping a good tequila. There are a lot of brands out there, and I personally don't want to drop the $$ in case I don't like it. So I have made it a custom when out for dinner or at a bar to check and see if there is a tequila I haven't tried yet. It is a good way to test out the waters. The problem is that here in Idaho, all liquor sales have to go through the state liquor store; and they have no clue about the diversity of good tequilas. :angry:

I always drink it chilled & neat. Unfortunately it seems I have to educate wait staff and bartenders on a regular basis what that means.

My favorite tequila right now is the El Diamente del Cielo Reposado. :love: I have tried the Blanco and Anjeo, but the Reposado is definitely best for sipping. Coming in at a close second is the Chinaco Anejo. Some other great tequilas are Don Julio Anejo, Casa Nobel Reposado, Corazon Anejo, and Gran Centenario Anejo. Patron is usually a good fall back that most bars seem to carry.

Some tequilas that I hope to try some day when I'm feeling flush and can find it; most likely just shots: Don Julio 1942, Herradura Seleccion Suprema Muy Añejo, Patron Gran Platinum (just curious), Revolucion Reposado Limited Edition.

The fun is in the journey. Try 'em all!!! :D
