I was sitting at my desk about an hour ago when my boss called. He asked "John how's Sam?" I responded, "Fine, why?" he replied, "Well, Magee (her aunt who works with us, I work at a seperate office, but we all have the same boss) just called and said she was in a wreck and they are taking her to the hospital. Do you have her cell phone number?" I said no and that I'd try to get it. I called her other aunt Charolette (she doesn't work with us lol) and had to inform her of the wreck. She then gave me the number, I called Magee and all she told me was "It's real bad, and I gotta go". And hung up. I called charolette and my boss and they both told me get up there. I should have been in a wreck myself considering all I did was blow my horn and flash my lights (it's been raining all morning here) and ran stop lights and cut people off trying to get there.

When I got there her mother and magee were waiting on the ambulance. They pulled it around and pulled her off. It's a really messed up thing to see your girlfriend of 6 years being pulled on a gurney.

I waited in the waiting room for 15 minutes, they said she's broke one leg for sure, and they aren't sure yet, but she might have broken the other. He car is totalled, and the guy who hit her, she wrote his insurance policy.

Needless to say I'm sure I'll have alot on my plate helping her if she has broken both legs, but all I can do is sit at my desk at work and wait. It's rough. Again, I don't know if anything is for sure. I just gotta sit here and wait.

Prayers and thoughts with you and her.
I've had loved ones in terrible accidents, I know how it feels to sit and wait. Just remember, we live in a country with outstanding medical abilities, and that doctors today are pretty amazing.
She's lucky to have someone to help her out if she needs it.

All my best,

Josh

Wow, hope the injuries are not as bad as they first appear. Hang in there John and I hope that she has a quick recovery.

KB, I'm so sorry to hear that about Sam. I know that was tough for you to watch her being taking out of the ambulance. You and Sam have our prayers.

Damn, that's really horrible John. Best of luck to you and Sam - I hope it's not as bad as it may have looked to you.

I just got off the phone with her aunt and mother and Sam, and she's broke one leg and that's already had knee surgery, so she'll be used to using the crutches. She's still crying and in the neck brace and it's just killing me to hear her cry and me sit here. I guess it's good I'm trying to work, but again I feel like I should be there. But there's nothing I can do. It's 1:30 now and she'll be in surgery for 3 hours after she gets down there, so she'll be awake maybe by 6 or 7.

I called my mother and she's more worried it seems than me. And also I called the wrecker and they said her car is just gone. It was a Ford Ranger that hit her head on. I'll drive by and look at the car when I leave work and go see her.

At the moment I'm thankful I've got a place and people I can vent to and also I'm thankful that I'm not the only one praying every 5 minutes lol. She said sorry she couldn't go jogging with me tonight.

Take care bro...
Sam will need a lot of help in the near term.
Broken legs are no fun (been there and done that).
In the beginning she hurt a lot, after that she will be frustrated that she can't do things for herself.
You and Sam will be in our prayers...

John:

I know it seems bad now, but thankfully it was not worse. Hang in there, my thoughts and prayers are with you and Sam.

Sam just entered the first surgery. A friend of mine went and looked at her car. I'll post pics of it as soon as I can.

Sorry to hear this KB... The results could have been much worse considering. She still has her health, the bones will heal... cherrish your time with her and help her any way you can. Our prayers will be with you guys!!!

Good luck and keep us posted.
