I'll be headin'up North tomorrow (Armed Forces Day) to attend the Texas Rangers Baseball game when they play the Houston Astros as part of the Lone Star Series (LINKY).
The Rangers invited us (4th Infantry Division from Fort Hood) to the game and we'll have Major General Jeff Hammond (Commander of 4th ID and Multi-National Division Baghdad) live from Baghdad for the pre-game ceremonies.
Two young boys (brothers) whose Father is deployed will throw out the first pitch with Dad on the Jumbo Tron next to the General. We'll sing Happy Birthday to them too (one of them has a birthday on Saturday the other on Sunday).
The game and pre-game ceremony will be broadcast on Armed Forces Network and the Local Fox Sports Channel (FOX Sports Southwest) beginning at 6pm Central Time.
