Recently I commissioned a few pieces from this fine BOTL. Having seen his skills on the clocks and humidors, I asked him if he could make me a custom shelf for my coolidor. I hate the wire shelves, and thought this would be a cool idea. He took on the project and even went so far as to making a few custom boxes to hold singles!!
The box arried the other day, and he packaged it so well, I didn't want to open it. I haven't been on CP much lately, having moved 230 miles, started a new job, and my entire collection nowhere near me, I didn't want to disturb the craftsmanship! Well, I couldn't wait any longer so I opened up the box for a peek!! DAMN WADE!! You really do some nice work! I plan on heading up to my place by next week, and as soon as I open the rest, pics will follow! Thanks again Wade, you're a good man!
 
Lee, it was absolutely my pleasure! I'm just glad they arrived safe and that you like them. The trays do fit dont they?

Lee didn't want tops on them so they're just plain ol' boxes. The trays for his wineodor I didn't take pics of before I sent them, I'm sure Lee will get some posted though.

When it's 21 degrees in your shop you don't take much time to measure twice and cut once. Eyeball and cut that sucker then get back into the house! It's been mentioned a few times as to my late night posting, I don't go to bed till usually about 3:00am, up at 8:00. I hate to waste hours in the day sleeping, theres always something around the house to do, fix, build or whatever. I like to keep busy.
 
very nice work. question if you dont mind me asking.which wood did you use? I would like try and make me some. I have over flowed myself into two desktops and a couple boxes,so I think its time for a coolidor for me. nice joints by the way you do great work Vol,youve got some nice boxes Hapa. i have yet to attemp anything other that butt joints , you have convinced me to go ahead and try.

Thanks, the joints are simple finger or box joints, not to tough to do with a simple shop made jig, a little trial and error is needed for a proper fit, which is mandatory. The wood is solid Spanish Cedar.

Brian did you see the pic of the Partagas Habano box I have? I know you're looking for a Cuban box, just in case you didnt see it, you may want to check out the Clock thread.
