Well some of you may remember that I was supposed to go to Bamburg Germany after I finished this tour in Iraq. Then I was supposed to go to the Netherlands. Well now it seems that I will be going to Brussels. This is a really great move for me, my family and for my Army career. I sent in a selection packet to get a PSD (Protective Service Detail) job for the Military Advisor to NATO. They were supposed to make the selection by the end of last week, and even though I have not heard from the PSD Commander, I am now on assignment to the NATO base.

I will wait and see if I get a notification in the next few days before I call and confirm, but as of right now, it looks pretty good.

Looks like an April move.....
ETA: This is now a done deal. I will be on my way in April, I can not tell you how excited I am. PSD4 here I come......
 
Sounds like an interesting job. I know my field has a couple slots in Brussels that I've considered going after... no research on the place, but sounds like an interesting place to live. :) Good luck.

keep your head down till yer out.. congrats on the PSD. That can open up a whole new range of post military opportunity, if you want to stay in it.

Tim, this could be baaaaaad. I will be doing some work in Brussels with NATO next year...
I am thinking I may be able to herf with every member of CP... given enough time and money. :laugh:

Funny thing is, I don't even own a suit. I do have some nice jeans and a Bill Bates Cowboy throwback jersey, that should work.....
