I thought you played mini-meat in the porn classic... GoldMiniMember... :p

I really like the contender and the UFC show. I am a big UFC fan. I agree that the show has low production value, it is definetely not a Mark Burnett joint, but I think they are doing a good job given the obviously limited budget. Example: I love how on the other reality shows, the contestants ride around in limos and hummers, and on UFC they ride around in dirty, dusty snuff vans. Classic.
For me, there is no other sport as exciting as mixed martial arts fighting - striking or on the ground. I actually prefer ground fights, because I love to see the elbows come down, and love the submissions. The stand up fights are pretty boring to me, as most of them are amateur-level boxers or less. Luckily for me, about 90% of MMA fights end up on the ground.

I am disgusted with boxing right now, and it is a "family business" so to speak, with members of my family currently managing 3 middleweights, and my uncle a longtime player in the sport.
UFC is the real deal and has not been tainted quite as much with the big money that has come to the boxing business. Boxing just ain't what it used to be, and probably never will be again.

JK.. my friend is Vladimir "the jantor" Matuyshenko... he also likes UFC quite a bit. LMAO!

Really? What's he been doing lately? He had some good fights in UFC. He lost a couple, but to some really good fighters.

He's living LA, training himself as well as other fighters and 'regular' people. He also works for us a bit and has small business he operates with a friend and his son. I have't seen him since last July when I was out on the west coast.

Anyone see the west coast fighter b*tch out when it came time to call out the pretty boy from the east coast.

SAD :angry2:

yea really thought they were going to get it on that night. Maybe tonight they will square off. Can't believe the East's best two fighters are gone

Yeah, I was a little shocked Reid got taken. I actually felt bad for him because he did seem like genuinely nice guy, and not some loud $hit talker like the all mouth no action dude we got on the west.

Tonights episode was good again - I honestly didn't care who won, as it was smack-talker vs. smack-talker. I much preferred the first two weeks, where I had some level of empathy for all the fighters involved in the fights - whereas neither of these two impressed me much in terms of their attitude.

Good fight though - all these guys really are top fighters. 5 round fights really aren't enough for guys of this level of experience/skill.

Cheers,

- Oak

I totally missed tonights episode thought it started at 8 put it ended at 8. I hope they show a replay. I got it setup on tivo now so that this won't happen again.
