That they are.

Last night I watched a movie called "The Great Raid". An incredible story of how a group of Army Rangers raided a Japanese POW camp in the Phillipines and rescued 550 POWs. To this day, the most successful rescue mission by US armed services.

Remembering & respect for their greatest sacrifice is a must. May they RIP & those that are with us I raise a glass & light a good one in your honor.

There's nothing more disturbing for a sailor than to see a picture of the Arizona burn. God bless those men who go to war on ships.

America pulled together for the common good due to world chaos. I fear we could never pull an effort like that off again...Too many whiners that don't know what side their bread is buttered on.

AVB is correct...It was The Greatest Generation.

I think it could be done but it would require real leadership........Something that is sorely lacking recently.

Ken I am sure the generation before Pearl Harbor's said the same thing. And the one before the folks who endured the Great Depression said the same thing. What is great about the human spirit and America's will is that tradgedy seems to demand a call to rise above what we think is possible. I can only hope that my generation and the younger one would rise as the Pearl Harbor generation did to meet and exceed what is thought possible by even themselves. I have no other choice but to believe this because what is the alternative?

The greatest generation none the less!!!!!
