The elusive Shagbark Hickory

We ran out of smoking pellets and I told John @jfields "no problem, there hickory trees everywhere around here". I showed him a picture of a shagbark hickory so he would know what to look for.

Apparently they have all died!

I think they all moved over here. I can't swing a dead cat w/o hitting one in my back yard. I've got at least 10 in my yard and in the fall, they are a pain in the ass. Hickory nuts and shells all over the place. Bummer y'all ran out of pellets. Somebody screwed up!
