THE LABEL TABLE.

The glue stick was a nice idea. I suppose all you have to do is keep them from moving before and while the laquer is applied.

Hey everyone...just wanted to let you all know that the label table is done, and you can check out pics under the HERF thread about Bobs Birthday. Hope you all dig it, and thanks to everyone who donated bands to the cause.

Opus, what kind of laquer did u use? the pour on, self leveling stuff or the brush on? your finish almost looks glass like.
my pal did poker table a bunch of years back with cards and 10 dollar bills in it and he used the pour on, self leveling laquer. the finish ended up being about 1/2 - 3/16th of an inch thick and was very glass like.
nice job, really looks great. any chance for a few close-ups? take care...Rob

..this was during the mid 80's, when $$$ was abundant for this guy ( he is what we italians say "spachione" (spa-cone)means to act like a big shot), he was hard up for cash one day and cut the bills out...all 5 of them, and yes KB..he ruined the table.

I brushed the laquer on...took forever.

Great job on the table, I am saving labels for the same thing.
By the way WAR EAGLE, we got some damn southern boys in this forum don't we?
Yes sir, spent many a drunken nights in Vol-Land, gotta come to Jordan Hare this year though.
Did you do the Deco-pauge then cover them?

By the way, was that an Acid Kuba Kuba label on the bottom right?

HA HA!!!! It IS an Acid...when I first started smoking cigars, the Kuba Kuba was the only one I had tasted. Then one day, the manager of Burns, the local cigar store, gave me a 64 natural. That was the end of Kuba's and the beginning...of the rest of my life!

I think you are referring to my aF Canoes! It was getting a little nasty, so gave it up.

Been there too, I bought (sure wouldn't call it a win) somne Tierra del Sols and Slow Aged Gloriosos form CBID two weeks ago, they were both Perdomo andf they were both the worst cigars I have ever had, the TDS had absolutely no flavor and I wish I could say the same for the SAGs. I read the descriptions on CBID and boy were they off.
Afetr one draw they were both trashed.
