I recall reading that a while back. Good article. Kind of like cigars. The best pipes are the ones you like to smoke. However, I do like certain brands not so much for their prestige but for what I feel is quality/price ratio or value. I like cavicchi pipes for example as they seem to be technically well made, aesthetically pleasing to my tastes, reasonable in price, and most importantly smoke well. Just my .02

Yeah, it all boils down to what you like, but I know I've been guilty of picking up a pipe because it looked cool and I trusted the name.

Good article, but I think I would still rather have a Castello than a Stanwell.

Good read.

I dont own any of those high end brand pipes and doubt I will, as long as I enjoy the pipes I have now I'm good.
