The new girlfriend likes cigars !

I just started dating a new girl and we're getting along just fine. She was over at the house and saw my humidor and asked if she could have one.

Love is in the air :D

Just one more EXPENCE you have to cover.

I prefer my cigars such as my golf game.............mine, not hers. I was just telling Rob earlier that the house is all "ribbons and bows"; the desk that I sit at now is my "man room" and I smoke outdoors (back patio or golf course). I Love my wife but she has her hobbies and I have mine. There is one other place that is mine but only if it isn't "occupied".

Girlfriends become fiances and then wives.............you will see! ;)

Of course since all the old farts are living vicariously through you.......................WHERE ARE THE PICS?!!

I'm right there with you. I used to have fishing until I took her with me. I don't have much in this world that is all mine so I cherish my pipes, tobacco, and cigars. Nobody else around here wants anything to do with them. (I guess I have the lawn tractor too, but that's hardly a "hobby" for me)

:)

Yet, you spend most of your summer months astride your mower so in a way it is your "hobby"! :sign: Of course with a stick chomped between the teeth goes without saying!

I tend to agree with you gents....I don't want my wife smoking, let alone smoke my own sticks (i.e., cigars ;) ). She has her hobbies and passions, which I of course support her in, and I have mine. Don't take her fishing with me (after I finish fishing, I head back, pick her up, and take her back out in our boats so she can enjoy the sandbars, ocean, sun, what have you), don't bring her into my smoking lounge or B&Ms...she has gone on many instances of course, but then she leaves me to my own devices. Works beautifully.

My g/f likes to sit outside and smoke with me also. It makes things so much more enjoyable when they support your hobbies. She didn't like the Consuerga but loved the Padilla Miami last night. She is good at telling between a good and cheap cigar by taste w/o knowing prices.

There is a distinction between support and participation. Not knocking another man's pleasure to sit with his woman and share a smoke but it won't happen in my lifetime with my wife as all I get is the "disapproving look of death" and the occasional "you know smoking is bad for you!"

I'd rather be out on the open ocean fishing with any of you BOTLs, especially MC or Swissy!

Edited to add fishing comment.

I guess the lakes of MN just aren't good enough for you, huh? :(

Alan, for you I would make an exception and go lake fishing! Well, actually I would go fishing anywhere if time allotted and the bite is on!

She's a fine looking lady.

And Putz, my boat (or ice house) is always open to a BOTL from CP! Besides, all the cigar smoke would keep the wife away for at least that outing! :)
