The Staind cover of this is Beetle.

I think he will still be complaining, because there is no way that Sirius is going to pick up the number of subscribers it projects with his move over. The numbers are already being exaggerated by him. He is going to become the follower instead when he switches over too, so it'll be tough on him to admit that.

Whom will he be following?

Despite his claims, he's following Opie and Anthony over to satellite (although, as always, he claims he "invented" the idea, yadda, yadda, yadda).

The show went downhill after Billy West left, and the OJ trial ended. Back then was his prime - back before he became everything he used to stand against. Now he's just a whiny, ass-kissing, hypocritical shell of what he used to be. It's a chore to leave his show on for more than 2 or 3 minutes at most these days. Who would have thought the show could get worse, and I think it's because of Jackie leaving - it's amazing how much he added to the show overall.

Everyone who has already signed deals with satellite and is on air now. O & A are just one of the many.

You are assuming that these others will bring in the revenue like Howard will. I think he might be the "killer app" of sat radio myself.

Assuming nothing - O&A are already big on XM, almost as big as they were when in NYC, and Ron & Fezz are jumping aboard their XM station next month (they were together on the former WNEW before the collapse).

The only reason they didn't get as big as they should have when they were on WNEW is because Howard was scared sh1tless of them - he blocked their syndication as much as he could (they both worked for the same parent company - Infinity - and of course Howard was the proven money maker at that point and had the pull), and he even went so far as to have the company lawyers put ridiculous gag orders on O&A (at one point they weren't allowed to even say his name on the radio anymore).

Of course, the idiotic stunt in St. Patrick's instantly killed their syndication and their show on terrestrial radio which eventually led to the rapid decline and sad ending of one of the world's most famous rock radio stations, as well as kept them off the air for a few years until their contracts were up.

(Witnessing WNEW die was just painful - they now play 'classic' dance music - uggg)

Oh yeah, the main difference is that you'll have to pay extra on top of the monthly fee to get Howard. O&A started that way, but now it's included in the regular XM fee (and not surprisingly, they are getting bigger without the additional fee). With the outlandish contract Howard got from Sirius you're most likely looking at an eventual subscription fee increase when he fails to bring in enough to cover his own salary. Only time will tell of course, but it's obvious Sirius got a little over-zealous in their bid to lure Howard to their service.
