Well today totally sucks.

The UN is in session and the the president is scheduled to be in town. Somebody thought it would be a good idea to have an evacuation drill today! The Secret Service were even making the homeless guy on 41st Street take all the items out of his cart to make sure there wasn't a bomb in there. My office is on the 28th floor and we have to go down those 28 flights of stairs with a few hundred of my favorite friends complaining all the way down. Hope your day is better than mine.

Hit the streets a runnin' ..and try to beat the masses...go get yourself some....

Cool! Maybe you can run into imanutjob from Iran.

Well if I did there are so many Secret Service agents running around the streets that I doubt I could smack the back of his pointy head. The traffic on Third Avenue has been at a standstill all day today and you can hear the sirens from the motorcades all the way on the 28th floor.

I'd like to see the little bugger just to see if he flinches. I don't have a problem with him coming here but nobody has engaged him in any meaningful debate. So you can't tell how full of crap he really is.

Yeah, he really get's under my skin, just knowing he's here really pisses me off. Just thinking of him and what he stands for and all the consequences to us is too much to contemplate. (rant over)

Sounds like a good day to call in sick and golf. :whistling:

Yeah I would but I'm the fire warden for my floor so I kind of take that seriously. If you've never been in NYC it is one of the times of the year that the locals really get pissed. The whole UN show is a nightmare especially if you are on the east side of Manhattan. The other time is between Thanksgiving and New Years when everyone thinks it's cool to come see the tree at Rockefeller Plaza and go to Macy's.

Spoken like a true New Yorker

The building management did pick a great day for a test. I arrived at the building about 15 minutes before the drill and decided to wait outside. But I am only on the third floor, so it would not have been all that bad anyway. So I guess you had the pleasure of wearing the red vests to direct the confused people out of the building onto the sidewalk.

Wow we didn't have the red vests, that would have been the ultimate!
