Do you have to wear a suit and tie?
No formal attire here...jeans and sneakers on regular days, shorts lately, when I have trainings here, I dress up.
To answer John and MC-
The telecommuting thing would be great, but the owner is still a "yellow legal pad and pencil" kind of guy. It took me a while to convince him we needed a database program to track accounts sales and commissions, instead of just using m/s excell for everything. He is very old school and still prints memo's, sends his emails two to three times to all of us, then faxes a printed copy and mails the same document because he is afraid we won't get the emails/memo's/notices.... you starting to get the picture?
Keep in mind we have 2 offices, one in CT. near New Haven (where the owner and accounting and the other half of the sales staff is) and my office, here in Foxboro, MA. When we have meetings, I usually do a "tech talk" segment explaining how we can save money by limiting our paper consumption and printing, and how technology can save the company $$$$. etc, etc.
While we are a little slow on the tech wagon, we will still manage to do about $60 MILLION (yes million) in sales this year, which translates to about $5-$8 million in revenue...not bad for a company of approx 15 people. And the boss isn't shy about sharing the growth and profitability.

Not a great margin, but hey, you have the volume.
You have to go with the culture that is your company. Make the most of the heat. It isn't THAT bad. It was 62 degrees for the morning commute, so picture me with my windows down, smoking a 7 x 54, dumbo ears flapping in the breeze. By 1PM, it should be about 90 degrees and about as hot as its going to be today. And, lucky for me, the only thing I can't do from home (that I do from work) is drink free coffee.
