Ya know, when I first joined, all I did was read posts and then I didn't check in for like another three months. CP is boring if you don't do some things like trades or passes on occassion in order to get to know people. After doing so after a lot of prodding from Randyb1 and gibu, I became hooked on here. Before I knew it, I would have days where I would make thirty or so posts. I basically went from one extreme to the other. Now instead of every three months, I check in three times every evening from 5-11. The wife and I get in petty little disagreements if I think she's been on the net too long and I haven't been on. I'm also checking Cigar Pass at work, eventhough I probably shouldn't. Study halls are awesome. Everyone shuts up, sits down, and I type, and on occassion, LMFAO at posts and pretend that I read a good joke about the civil war or something. :whistling:
I'm always thinking, "Who is making fun of Puro Brat now?," "Has there been a new flame since I've last been on?," "has anyone started a new pass?," "has anyone posted a review of a cigar that I've been looking at?" "has Neal shared more of his kind and gentle ways to some errant newbie?" God, sometimes I can't handle wondering and not being able to get on. Death will be a royal *itch, only because I will miss what in the world is going on.
Yeah mh-this place is like an occult. It demands a lot of your time, it asks you to worship the same deity, and it will separate you from the family should they get in the way of your service to "the community"

myself, I came into it all wrong; never properly introduced myself, didn't participate in the newbie-trade thing and stayed in voyeur-mode for months.
I'd go back and do things differently if I had the chance, but it definitely became even more fun once I got my feet wet and became a little more active (relatively speaking).
