Hey - by the way. Another way to screw with these guys is to shut down their e-mail accounts. You can simply do so by forwarding the e-mail, with all of the headers, to the e-mail account host (i.e. - if the e-mail came from johnsmith@hotmail.com, send it to abuse@hotmail.com). I have a letter which is pre drafted telling the host that the e-mail I received was obviously sent to scam people, and I request that they stop the source from further using their services to continue their scam. I have attempted to send messages to those I've reported in the past about a week later, and find the account has been shut down. It seems to work.
This puts a bit of a cramp in their activities once their e-mail account is shut down. I figure if we all do it, instead of ignoring it, it will make it a lot more difficult for the a$$holes to do their dirty work...
Just a thought.
BTW - I got this nice response from a Nigerian after I sent him a copy of the US Constitution (thanks for the idea, Ludwig!!!)
"u must be an idiot to have gotten the guts to send this message to me.
ask
for a better job and i will be willing to give u one. u are a bastard.
should i get a mail from u we will definitely fish u out.
EFCC"
I'm shaking in my boots... ??? Seeing as how he wants to come after me, and not to be outdone, I sent him the following picture:
I also loaded his mailbox with the text of e-mails I had received from other scammers. I'm dying to see what response I get!!
