The Corojo plant was developed in the 1930's by Diego Rodriguez and derived from the Cirollo seed through dele give breeding. The plant is named after its birthplace, the farm Santa Ines del Corojo in the Vuelta Abajo region. Primarily grown under shade for wrappers, it was the wrapper of choice for Cuban cigars until the 1990's. Corojo can be susceptible to blue mold, black shank and others. It produces eight to nine pairs of leaves and is valued for its dark brown ( Colorado ) color, uniformity and thin veins.

Mrs Karnia Kelley said she returned home and practiced his skills every day until she was confident she could turn out cigars to Cuban standards before launching the new venture.

No matter what he/she is, I am certain they put a high end band on their cigars and age them AT LEAST 2 weeks before smoking.......it's all in the mind......
