The draw was just very tight on it.
I think it might have been a bit dry, but in my experience that usually makes the draw a bit easier.
I re-punched it a few times and managed to get a good draw out of it. I think it just wasn't punched deep enough ... I had to put a pretty big hole in it before I got a good draw. It's not easy to re-punch a lit cigar while driving when your punch is on your keychain! Don't try this at home!
