Today's Smoke 2025

Espinosa Comfortably Numb Vol 3

Wrapper: Nicaraguan Habano
Binder: Mexican San Andres
Filler: Nicaraguan

My favorite so far. Has that Habano sweet spice that I love, some coffee and earthiness presumably from the San Andres binder, and a not overpowering white pepper from the Nica filler.

Another impeccably rolled cigar. Burning fast this time but it's 20-35+ wind gusts tonight so despite my only moderately successful efforts to find some shelter it's definitely still having an effect. The first two were solid 90 minute smokes, this one seems to be going about 20% faster.

I'll be curious to see how volume 4 compares, with the wrapper and binder swapping places.

Ramon Bueso Genesis Oscuro Toro 6x54. Outstanding smoke and on sale currently at CI, $90 for box of 25, I think.

This is a med/full cigar tending toward full at the end, earth, leather, chocolate and—this will sound weird and I don’t normally get fruit in a cigar others write about — but I get fig newtons in there. Used to be a favorite, haven’t had one in ten years, but my mind keeps coming back to dig newtons.

I may get a box of these.
