After yesterday's festivities, home on my deck relaxing, I decided to go all out. Still feeling patriotic, I decided to enjoy a special occasion cigar. Now I only have 3 remaining.
Opus X A from 2005 or 06.
Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua box pressed Belicoso, my first from this maker. Pretty good. Rich, spicy, meaty, woody, tons of thick smoke.
Unfortunately as the cigar progresses it becomes less complex and settled into wood and leather flavors, with medium pepper on the retro. It does remain very smooth and easy to smoke, but doesn't live up to the potential it had starting out.
I will smoke what I have but if they all go like this I don't think I'll buy any more.
I'll tell ya that that Luxury Cigar Pig-Tail set the tone. Absolutely perfect smoke for my first cigar on this Sunday morning. I figured I needed to dig for something to keep it going.
A La Flor Dominicana Cabinet No. 6. Lot's of age as Chris @hermit11 got them in 2018 and was kind enough to give me a great deal on them.
