Today's Smoke 2025

Tatuaje Monster Smash Jason

Strength is full+ on this thing, wow! It smacks you in the face right from the start with major earth, spice, hot red pepper.

Some wood and dark roast coffee join in the middle third, but earth and red pepper definitely stay at the fore.

I'll edit to add if anything new appears for the final third. This is definitely not a cigar for beginners!

‘09 PL Montecarlos 6 1/4 X 33 - jonesing for a PLPC but found a couple of these digging through my singles and never having smoked one I thought what the hell. Cold draw was a bit tight and almost didn’t spark it up. Oops, trust your instinct. Should have dry boxed it for a spell. Smoke volume was a tad weak with the tight draw. But hey, some black cherry & apricot comes through. Cream delights on smooth retro. Not getting any of it’s aged cousin’s trademark caramel/honey notes. Second third sweet toffee on the tongue with that smashing PL profile finally coming through. Such a refined elegant smoke! Would have liked more smoke volume but that’s my bad likely for not dry boxing. Final third caramel forward now. Most delicious retro too. Even the passive smoke aroma is caramel. Wild. Final third opening up now with nice draw and more smoke. Mouthfeel is sensational. TLC & patience is a must here. If you’re a fast smoker you won’t get the same experience. An occasional gentle purge is also recommended. Only PL better for me was a gifted ‘98 PC cab version which was a real mind blower. One hour, never bitter, no bite, no touch ups. I’m gonna have to get a couple boxes of these.
Yum, Yum, get you some!

Huge fan of Lanceros, hard to find one that has a nice loose draw. How are these?
I have had no draw issues with any Caldwell or anything associated with Caldwell cigars personally. These were a Tony Bellatto creation. A partner in Caldwell's Lost & Found category.
If you can find them... I believe you'll get a good draw. This one smoked perfect.

Yeah, Caldwell is more likely to be too lose than tight, which I always prefer. I didn't realize they were partnered. I'll definitely give them a shot next time I catch um around for a good deal. Thanks. 👍

If you find any at all... LMK. 😎

DGC CCUG (May ‘99) Partagas Presidentes - love how easy these are to light with the tiny foot. Salt & pepper, mandarin orange, kiwi & cream. Second third some nice merengue. Final third draw becomes tighter - perfectos can be wonky at times. Creamy & nutty rest of the way. Super smooth through the nose. If PSD4s tasted like this I would smoke them. Last third built some strength possibly due to the tighter draw with a burst of black pepper at the end. Love that Partagas cream and love this cigar. 80 mins of dead dried Cuban leaves.

"El Dentes" were fantastic! Easy to order and never had to worry about them getting nabbed. Damn, that goes back a bit! Wish we still had those prices. Enjoy!
