Today's Smoke 2026

Cedar, earth, hay, and very mild spice on the retrohale. Occasional flits of fennel, dry leather (I'd almost say rawhide), and a barnyard funk. Any of those things could have potentially developed into something very interesting, but they all disappeared after a few puffs. I got these for $1.75/ea, but would much rather pay a bit more for something much better. Not bad, but very much forgettable, as the reviews suggested.

Fun fact, when I was with the 67th Fighter Squadron, the Fighting Cocks, they had a huge 12'x12' welcome mat in front of the building with the squadron logo that read, in huge bold red letters, "COCKS RULE! PERIOD." I will never forget that welcome mat as long as I live.

Here’s Johnny! My oldest son stopped by on his way from Fayetteville back to Waco and we shared this behemoth. Very fresh - dry-boxed for 24 hours. Perfectly rolled splotchy (habano? I’m new at this) wrapper. Fresh tobacco, very nice spice and honeysuckle. Buttery smooth cedar retro. Floral notes with growing spice. Great freaking stick - holy crap I loved this. I’ll enjoy 1-2 more and rest the remainder.

Behemoth? Try one of John’s Ideales, BHK58 or Atabey - those are behemoths!
