Today's Smoke 2026

San Cristobal Quintessence
I had high hopes for this - distributed by Ashton, blended by Pepin Garcia. Cedar, nutmeg, coffee & mild pepper. Slight malt taste with developing minerals. Linear and mundane. Disappointing. The sausage kolaches and cherry coke definitely won the day.

I'm pretty sure that one got trounced in reviews.

Fonseca Delicias aged 15 years (Thanks Nick @theorangeman )
Sweet earth, peat, aged leather. A note of anejo tequila on the back of the tongue. Pecan, growing spice. Mild, fragrant white pepper retro. A faint sweet aromatic coating on the tongue. Cool nicotine finish with sweet leather, cinnamon and dark cherries. Zen. Magnificent.

Opus X Maduro “Black Orchid” I put the parentheses because I sized it up next to another Black Orchid I have and it’s significantly larger Vitola. See photo.
